Research “A research institution that has an effective contribution to achieving economic and social development through generating, developing and testing technologies in the field of sustainable agriculture and natural resource conservation by providing appropriate technology.” The Authority plays a prominent role in:
Developing and producing modern or locally improved agricultural technologies, integrating and disseminating these technologies, and measuring their economic and social impact.
Achieving effective agricultural research that leads to sustainability and environmental preservation.
Contribute to improving and achieving food security by providing appropriate technologies, which leads to an increase in agricultural production, both plant and animal.
Contribute to improving the national economy by increasing the gross domestic product.
Providing facilities for agricultural projects by providing technologies suitable for agricultural environments and focusing on developing market research.
Testing and adapting a number of agricultural technologies for private companies and institutions.
Most of the research techniques were transferred and developed to farmers’ lands in cooperation with agricultural extension, and some techniques such as improved seed varieties for wheat crop - sorghum - maize - millet - cotton - sesame - legumes (lentils - peas - fenugreek) were published through the Seed Multiplication Corporation, as well as the onion crop Okra and other crops, and many breeds of livestock.
